Doing design differently.

PrettyBad is built on a simple idea: design is powerful, and the design world has gotten pretty bad at using that power for good.

Modern design is built to capture attention, trigger a response, and keep us consuming. We know how to make things addictive, urgent, and impossible to ignore. (Doomscrolling be damned). Somewhere along the way, design became less about helping people and more about manipulating them. Just because we can hack attention doesn’t mean we should.

PrettyBad takes a different approach. Danny uses design to inform, connect, clarify, and build community. Danny’s approach is rooted in human-centered and trauma-informed design principles, creating work that respects people’s attention, autonomy, and ability to make their own choices.
